Workers Compensation

We use a “holistic” approach to workers’ compensation cost containment by looking at the total picture, rather than focusing only on one area such as reducing medical bills. Workers compensation insurance tends to be one of the most controllable insurance expenses employers have today. Properly designed safety programs, risk management assessments and ongoing loss control can greatly reduce the expenses related to a worker’s compensation program.

Our overall goal is for 95% of injured employees to return to work within 1-4 days after the injury unless they are medically unable to perform any productive role for the employer. We focus on the fundamentals of managing the employee returning to work from a compensated injury. In addition to an understanding of the interplay between federal laws prohibiting discrimination against health conditions and state workers’ compensation laws, we employ strategies that make the most of functional capacity evaluations and rehabilitation programs. The time out of work should be proportionate to the length of the disability.
